Messages, requests and operator access
When you contact a provider through Avliana, we process your name, email address, phone number where given, and the content of your messages. The legal basis is performance of the user agreement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — without this data no contact can take place.
If you request a brochure or ask for a viewing, we additionally pass your postal address to that provider. It is required to send the documents and arrange an appointment; it is shared only with the provider of that listing and is never displayed publicly.
As the operator we cannot generally read your chat histories. The only exception is where a listing has been reported (for example on suspicion of fraud or unlawful content): in that case we may read the affected conversation in order to assess the report. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in preventing misuse and keeping the platform safe (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not browse conversations freely.
Every such access is logged — with the time, the account acting and the underlying report, but without message content. We delete this access log automatically after twelve months.
We store messages and requests for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your messages, requests and the associated contact details are deleted with it. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection; please use the address given in the legal notice.
